Today, we will be talking about Time Management.
As simple as the word sounds, it is a difficult task for many in today’s world.
As the saying goes; Time is money, so you wouldn’t want to spend it unnecessarily doing something unprofitable or taking too long to complete a task.
I am going to share with us today, time management tips that can help maximize our time so that we can do more.
First, Set your goal correctly, set goals that are achievable, you can make use of what is called the SMART method
S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Relevant
T - Timely
This will help you in making timely and relevant decisions.
Secondly, Prioritize wisely, prioritize your tasks based on importance and urgency, look at your tasks daily and determine them in this order:
- Important and Urgent: Do these tasks right away
- Important but not Urgent: Decide when to do these tasks
- Urgent but not Important: Delegate these if possible
- Not Urgent and Not Important: Set these aside to do later
Doing this will give you a clearer vision to get things done easily and not overwhelm yourself.
Finally, take breaks in between your tasks, or as I like to call it “go and fry yam” this will enable you clear your head and refresh your mind, you could take a walk, a nap. This will keep you motivated and focused.
